This briefing covers the period of April 2011.
HANDFORTH / COLSHAW :
On 16.4.2011 offenders smashed a double glazed window in order to gain entry to a second floor flat in the Beaumont Court area of Handforth. The offenders made an untidy search of the property before leaving.
A sneak in theft through an insecure front door was reported to police on 28.4.2011 in the Benson Walk area of Wilmslow
During the day offenders tried to
enter a secure shed in the garden of a house in the Gawsworth Way area of Handforth. They damaged the shed trying to enter it and made off in a white Ford transit without taking any items with them
A carrier bag which was left on view was stolen from a vehicle parked in the Howty Close area of Wilmslow on 5.5.2011
Front and rear number plates were stolen from a vehicle parked in the Station Road area of Handforth on 15.4.2011
A white handbag was stolen from the front seat of a vehicle whilst parked in the Clay Lane area of Handforth on 25.4.2011.
A babgy buggy and a strimmer were stolen from an insecure vehicle parked in the Bleadale Close area of Wilmslow on 26.4.2011
Cowling was stolen from a vehicle parked in the Benson Walk area of Wilmslow on 3.4.2011
LACEY GREEN :
Number plates were stolen from a vehicle parked in the Lyme Avenue area of Wilmslow 27.4.2011
DEAN ROW/ COLSHAW :
Offenders climbed a rear fence in order to gain entry to the rear garden of a house in the Adlington Road area of Wilmslow on 19.4.2010. The offenders then smashed in the bottom panel of a rear door which allowed them to gain entry to the house. The thieves left the house with stolen property. The incident occurred during the afternoon period..
On 23.4.2011 offenders gained entry to a rear garden in the Turnberry Drive area of Wilmslow. They then removed an edging stone from the block paved patio and used it to smash the french windows in order to gain entry.
On 30.4.2011 a burglary was reported to police in the Greenwood Drive area of Wilmslow.
Three bikes and two scooters were stolen from two sheds at a house in the Lincoln Road area of Wilmslow on 24.4.2011
ALDERLEY EDGE :
A burglary was reported on 19.4.2011 at a house in the Knutsford Road area of Alderley edge. Thieves attempted to remove a dummy alarm box and then forced entry via the downstairs living room window.
Copper wiring was stolen from a house under renovation in the Hough Lane area of Alderley Edge on 4.4.2011.
PART TOWN CENTRE:
A padlock was smashed on a shed at a house in the Hawthorn Grove area of Wilmslow and property stolen from within.
A dewalt drill was stolen from a portacabin at a house currently under construction in the Torkington Road area of Wilmslow on 15.4.2011
A vehicle was stolen from the Pownall Court area of Wilmslow on 22.4.2011. A male offender came to view a vehicle after seeing a FOR SALE advert in a Trade Magazine. The owner had the bonnet up when the male jumped into the vehicle and drove off.
STYAL:
Offenders forced the padlock on a shed situated at a house in the Moss Lane area of Styal on 19.4.2011. When it was discovered that the lock had been forced the shed was also completely empty.
A Road Fund Licence was stolen from an insecure car parked in the Burford Close area
OTHER:
We are currently experiencing an increase in acts of criminal damage along Manchester Road from Wilmslow to Handforth on Friday and Saturday nights and into the early morning.
