Travellers on Carnival Field

We have approached CEC to ask as to the current position relating to the Traveller's occupation of the Carnival Field.  We are advised that the arrival of the Travellers just before the weekend has slowed matters down as CEC need a court order and this cannot be obtained over the weekend.

 

CEC will be going to court on Monday to register the case followed by a court hearing on Wednesday to obtain a repossession order.  They then expect the Travellers to leave by the end of the week.

Kings Road, Wilmslow

Homewatch Alert

There has recently been an increase in vehicle crime particularly in the
Handforth area.

Between 1.5.2013 and 11.06.2013 in the Handforth area alone there has been a
house burglary in which a vehicle was stolen, three thefts of number plates
and five other thefts from vehicles.

Please make sure you leave your property secure and report anything
suspicious to police on 101

Manchester gang behind bars following burglary spree across east Cheshire

A Manchester gang who targeted affluent homes across east Cheshire and
escaped with a combined haul of more than £120,000 have been sentenced.
