This briefing covers the period of January and February 2012.
DEAN ROW / COLSHAW :
On 4.1.2012 during the afternoon offenders entered a house in the
Manchester Road area of Wilmslow by forcing the rear french doors
using a one inch bladed instrument. An untidy search was made of the
property before the offenders left , taking property with them.
On 9.1.2012 a burglary was reported at a house in the Fieldhead Road
area of Wilmslow. Offenders had smashed a rear window to gain entry .
STYAL:
On 9.1.2012 a burglary occurred in the Moss Lane area of Styal. Entry
was gained by smashing a rear patio door.
A quantity of goods and tools were taken from a shed situated in the
Moss Lane area of Styal on 9.1.2011
Two mountain bikes were stolen from a shed in the Clifford Road area
of Wilmslow on 5.2.2012
A four stroke petrol strimmer was stolen from a shed in the Station
Road area of Styal
On 13.2.2012 thieves stole a transit van which was parked on the
driveway of a house in the Broad Walk area of Wilmslow with the keys
left in the ignition.
TOWN CENTRE :
On 12.1.2012 two unknown males approached an unoccupied property in
the Styal Road area of Wilmslow. They gained entry by putting their
arms through a dog flap to unlock the porch door/ utility room. The
owner of the house returned home from taking her dogs for a walk to
find the two males searching through the tools in the untility area.
They were both described as thin wearing hoodies.They told the owner
they were called George and Tony. Arrests have been made concerning
this incident
Thieves gained access to an insecure ground floor flat via an insecure
rear bedroom window in the Queens Road area of Wilmslow. They then
forced an internal door to a master bedroom causing damage to the door
and then made an untidy search before leaving with property.
An attempted burglary occurred at a building site in the Torkington
Road area of Wilmslow on 12.1.2012. Offenders failed to gain entry to
a works cabin
A quantity of red diesel was taken from a secure metal container at a
building site in the Prestbury Road area of Wilmslow on 5.1.2012
A burglary occurred at a house in the Cumber Lane area of Wilmslow
whilst the owner was away. They attacked the lock on a rear door to
gain entry and then after a selective search left the house taking
property with them.
On 24.2.2012 a burglary was reported at a house in the Thorngrove Road
area of Wilmslow. Thieves had entered the property via an unlocked
rear patio door.
A ground floor flat in the Queens Road area of Wilmslow was entered
and property stolen on 24.2.2012
ALDERLEY EDGE :
On 5.1.2012 offenders entered premises in the Chelford Road area of
Alderley Edge by forcing a rear patio window. They left taking
property from the downstairs rooms
HANDFORTH/ COLSHAW:
An unknown offender entered a house in the Meriton Road area of
Handforth via an insecure door. A building society passbook was stolen
together with £70 cash.
During the hours of darkness an offender approached a house in the
Hall Road area of Handforth . He entered the property via an insecure
back door into the kitchen where he stole a phone and the car keys to
a vehicle on the driveway. The male then took the vehicle from the
driveway. A male had been seen on the corner of Hall Road earlier who
is described as a white male, late teens early 20's, cropped hair with
stubble, slim build wearing light blue jeans, a black jacket and white
trainers and who seemed to be acting a little suspiciously.
A rear patio door was smashed to gain entry to a house in the Valley
Drive area of Handforth on 27.1.2012. A laptop, phones etc were taken
from inside the premises and two vehicles were taken from the
driveway.
A burglary occurred at a house in the Bulkeley Road area of Handforth
on 7.2.2012
Two mountain bikes were stolen from a communal area at a block of
flats in the Handforth area on 23.2.2012

Deanway Trading Estate, Handforth
Stanley Park Grange, Handforth
OTHER:
Information has come through the Homewatch that three males were seen
in a royal blue peugeot van with a registration starting X562 in the
last few days in the Green Villa Park area of Wilmslow. All three
males were wearing high visibility jackets. One male is described as
Asian.
The males were looking down driveways and when they realised they were
being watched they accelerated out of the area.
Please keep a watch for this vehicle and report them to police if you
feel that they are acting suspiciously.
